Another Night at the Manor - March 05, 2011

Another Night at the Manor
Another Night at the Manor is an annual creative black-tie fundraising gala in support of charity.

Proceeds from this event will be donated to Itsy.

Guests will be entertained by local musicians and DJs throughout the evening with food and drink available.

The first A Night at the Manor was held at the Windermere Manor on March 13, 2010 and was in support of Haiti Relief. Sam Allen, Karyn Roantree and Wild Domestic entertained guests with DJ Jesney and DJ Freek in the Grand Hall.

The sold out event is remembered by all as a success and this year boasts no less.

379 Collective is a community focused creative production and event management company. We are passionate about working with organizations that we believe in and creating memorable events in unique spaces.

Dress Code

Another Night at the Manor is a creative black tie event.

Creative Black Tie
Creative Black Tie leaves room for trendy interpretations of formal wear. He can go more modern with a tux -- maybe a black shirt, no tie. She wears long or short dresses or evening separates. In this situation, you can have more fun with it, choosing a dressy look with a theme.

This attire is encouraged, but is not necessary for admittance.

Charity

Itsy is a charitable organization that supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital n London, Ontario and lends a helping hand to families who have infants in the NICU.

It was started by Mat and Laurel Lunnen: parents to Story Natalia Eve Lnnen who was born 15 weeks early, weighing a mere 1 lb 12 ounce. After the Lunnen's witnessed firsthand the struggle that families with premature babies experience, they were inspired to do something to support these individuals.

The Lunnen's have drawn attention to an inspiring cause: people helping people in need. We chose this charity to support through Another Night at the Manor because of its local focus and its selfless philanthropist ideals.

Entertainment

Guests of Another Night at the Manor will be entertained throughout the evening by local musicians and DJs listed below.

Marty Kolls
Fueled by her passion of performance, Marty (Martha) is a polished musician who accompanies herself on piano, guitar and ukulele. Her expressively poetic sound seeps from both her classical and pop backgrounds.
From jazz to folk her influences have helped shape her 'soulfully sweet' style. Having toured internationally as a song and dance woman, she knows the rules of the road and shares her stories through her song.
Common Grackle
Common Grackle is the moniker adopted for Gregory Pepper's acclaimed but obscure 2010 release "The Great Depression" (Fake Four Inc). While the album blends classic pop melodies with Saskatoon-based producer Factor's signature hip-hop landscapes, Pepper has recently formed a punkish, rockabilly backing band for a few one-off gigs in Southern Ontario. He is proud to be joined by Madadam (Noah23, Gregory Pepper & his Problems), Tyler Belluz (Kite Hill, Ohbijou) and Mike Brooks (every band, ever).
Wild Domestic
Wild Domestic is a band that must be seen and heard live. Conceived and birthed in Sarnia, Ontario, this seven-piece collective boasts a vast array of musical stylings and techniques. From their exclusively instrumental experimentations to their carefully-crafted vocal-oriented songs, Wild Domestic aims to intrigue ears of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The band has finished the beginning stages of its debut EP, and has been touring sporadically across Ontario with this material.
DJ Jesney
Jezbone has a long history of influences including such luminaries as Richie Hawtin, Chris Liberator, Marco Carola, Sven Vath, Clint Mansell and Brian Eno. But interestingly, he states that he is more influenced by his surrounding friends and fellow music lovers Jezbone's cross continent trips have taught him how to create high octane sets filled with fresh, minimal 80’s style techno to energize clubs and are a safe bet to keep people out of their seats and on the dance floor..., where they belong!
Dj Mat Lunnen
Mat Lunnen has been a staple in the Toronto underground for the last decade. His commitment to house music, the Chicago and San Francisco movements in specific has been one of the major factors in its successes in Toronto. His numerous residencies at such infamous Toronto nightclubs such as Element Bar, Red Square, System Soundbar, Boa Redux and Footwork Bar, have allowed him to take control and bring in some of the hottest acts on the planet. Mat Lunnen has now switched his focus from party planning to the studio and with releases forthcoming, Lunnen looks to deliver his signature funk style within his productions.
